Jose and Hilda and their children came to Colorado in 2002. First they lived in Florida and then they moved to Houston, Texas where Hilda’s brother lived. Now they live in Colorado Springs.

Jose started English classes first at Helen Hunt School. Hilda stayed home at night to take care of the children. A year later Hilda was able to start English classes when her mother came to live with them. So now the grandmother is baby-sitting for them at night.

Jose started work at ‘Panda Express’ as a cook. Then he got a job as a manager at Burger King. He would like to get a job in a restaurant at the Broadmoor though. He is hoping to finish his education in the next 5 years.

Hilda worked as a nurse in Panama. Now she has a job housekeeping in a hotel. She would like to be a nurse again some day.
