One day two travelers came upon a bear. After the first had saved himself by climbing a tree, the other, knowing he had no chance against the bear by himself, lay on the ground as if he was dead. The bear came up to him, sniffed him around the ears but thinking him dead walked off. His friend climbed down from the tree and asked, “What was the bear whispering in your ear”
“Oh, he just said I should think twice about traveling with people who run out on their friends.”
